Sony WM-EX674 Drive Belt

Replacements are available from many online shops, and you simply need to know the length of the old one. Since the old one is broken, you simply measure its length with a ruler. You also need its cross-section size. This belt has a square cross-section, and must be less than 1 mm.

Replacing the Belt

Unfortunately, replacement belts are a real pain, however I have always managed to get generic belts that were approximately the right fit, and they always worked. The pulleys are wide enough to accept a belt up to 1 mm in cross section; however, it is a tight fit and does not always work. When replacing the belt, it is better to de-solder the battery terminal, which is the large metal plate across the belt.
